Information we collect

Public song, artist, lyrics-source, discussion, and theological-assessment information can be viewed without an account. When you sign in with Google, Doxapraxis receives your Google account identifier, verified email address, display name, given and family names and locale when supplied, profile image, and sign-in timestamps.

We also store content you submit, including comments, reports, and song requests. The service records security and operational data such as request IDs, timestamps, route, response status, latency, and error diagnostics.

Your display name, profile image, and comments can appear publicly on song pages and your public profile. Song requests and comment reports are available to administrators for handling and moderation.

How information is used

Information is used to authenticate accounts, attribute public comments, moderate abuse, process song requests, secure and operate the service, and improve reliability. Advertising providers also process information as described below; their privacy practices and controls apply to that processing.

Processors and third-party services

Google provides sign-in. The hosting, database, uptime, and error-monitoring providers process operational data on the operator’s behalf. Spotify, Musixmatch, and OpenAI may process song metadata or licensed content only when the corresponding integration is enabled and contractually permitted.

Loading third-party scripts, images, lyrics tracking pixels, or other resources sends a request to the provider. That request can include your IP address, browser or device information, and the referring site. Google describes its collection and use of information in its Privacy Policy.

Cookies and security

Doxapraxis uses an essential session cookie to keep you signed in and protect your account. The public library is available without signing in. Signing out removes the session cookie; blocking it can prevent account features from working. We use safeguards to protect account information, but no online service can promise absolute security.

Advertising and advertising cookies

Doxapraxis uses Google AdSense. Whether ads are displayed depends on Google’s site approval, advertising settings, and applicable consent choices. When advertising loads, Google and other advertising providers can collect and share information using cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, and device or browser identifiers to deliver and measure ads and detect fraud.

Advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalise ads using your previous visits to Doxapraxis and other websites. Ad selection and data use depend on your location, applicable consent choices, and advertising settings. Non-personalised ads can still use cookies for purposes such as measurement and fraud prevention.

Other advertising providers

When third-party ad serving is enabled, participating vendors and ad networks may also place or read cookies to serve ads. Google publishes a directory of vendors certified for third-party advertising. This directory covers eligible vendors; it is not a list of vendors currently serving ads on Doxapraxis. Where a consent message is shown, its vendor information identifies the partners covered by that message and provides information about their use of data.

Your advertising and cookie choices

• To opt out of Google personalised advertising, visit Google Ads Settings.
• For other advertising providers, visit their websites for the opt-out controls they offer. You can also opt out of personalised advertising from participating providers through the Digital Advertising Alliance’s WebChoices tool.
• If a consent message is displayed, use its options to accept or decline consent and manage purposes and vendors. To revisit those choices, use the “Privacy and cookie settings” link provided at the bottom of the site with Google’s European regulations message.
• Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies. You may need to make choices separately for each browser or device and repeat them after clearing cookies. Opting out of personalised advertising does not necessarily remove ads or stop all advertising-related data use.

Your account data and contact

You can delete individual comments or permanently delete your account from your profile. See the data retention and deletion policy for what is removed and what can remain. For privacy questions, contact support@doxapraxis.app.

Deleting your Doxapraxis account does not delete information held independently by Google or other providers. Use their privacy controls for information they hold. We date changes to this policy on this page.
