Data retention and deletion

Retention periods

• Authentication sessions expire after 30 days by default; expired session records are purged.
• Account profiles remain until the account holder deletes the account.
• Comment text remains until you delete it, delete your account, or an administrator removes it. Empty comment placeholders can remain to preserve replies.
• Song requests remain until the requesting account is deleted.
• Comment reports remain while needed for moderation and abuse prevention, unless removed with the reporting account.
• Licensed Musixmatch lyric responses expire after 30 days by default and are purged after expiry.
• Derived song assessments remain until an administrator deletes the song.
• Operational and error logs are retained according to the hosting and monitoring providers’ settings; the application does not enforce a single retention period for those systems.

Delete your account

Open your profile, choose Delete my account, and confirm. Doxapraxis removes your account profile, active sessions, reports you submitted, and song requests from the active database. It clears your comment text and replaces the account association with “Deleted user” so that other people’s replies can remain in their original threads. Reports made by other people and moderation records can remain.

Backups and requests

Deleted data may remain in provider backups until those backups rotate under the provider’s retention settings. For an access, correction, or deletion question that cannot be completed in the product, contact support@doxapraxis.app.

Advertising and other providers

Account deletion applies to the records Doxapraxis controls. Google and other advertising providers set their own retention periods and provide their own privacy controls. See our advertising and cookie choices for those controls and links to provider information.
